WHO WE ARE
Albert is a lifelong collector and fan of 80s robots, with a background in marketing and decades of experience launching products at scale. After shipping millions of hardware units during his years leading Xbox hardware marketing, he set out to build something deeply personal: the Mighty Orbots toy that never was.
In 2023 he founded Machine Dream Toys with a simple, one-and-done mission, to bring Mighty Orbots to life as if it had rolled straight out of 1984. Albert drives the vision, invests in prototypes, and keeps the project focused on authenticity: die-cast weight, vintage packaging, and the retro charm collectors crave.
For Albert, this project isn’t just about a toy, it’s about honoring the past, celebrating creativity, and delivering something fans never thought they’d see.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is simple: to create the Mighty Orbots figure that should have existed in 1984, built with the authenticity, charm, and presence of the era. We are committed to honoring the original designs, preserving the retro spirit, and delivering a premium collectible that feels like it was just discovered in a warehouse after 40 years. Through Kickstarter, we’re inviting fans and collectors to unite with us, help fund the tooling, and bring this one-and-done project to life. This is more than nostalgia, it’s a promise to complete what history left unfinished.
OUR VISION
We believe collectors deserve more than endless reissues and reboots of the same properties. Our vision is to shine a light on forgotten legends of the past, stories and designs that sparked imagination but never got their chance to live on in toy form. Mighty Orbots is the perfect symbol of that vision: a short-lived but beautifully crafted series that vanished before fans ever got the figure they dreamed of. By bringing it to life now, we’re not just making a toy, we’re filling in a missing page of history and giving fans the chance to hold a piece of what might have been.
